Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is happy to offload Danny Rose, according to a report.

The Evening Standard beer789 have reiterated that Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is happy enough to let Danny Rose leave North London this summer.

Rose is heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham and a departure could materialise in the next 10 days, with France Football claiming that Paris Saint-Germain may be interested.

The Evening Standard adds that the Spurs manager is intending to use Ben Davies and Kyle Walker-Peters as his only left-back options this season.

But does that represent the Argentine's biggest gamble in his four years at Tottenham?

Lilywhites fans have a love/hate relationship with Rose, but many supporters wouldn't be remiss in the slightest if they were very worried about their manager's strategy here.

For all his controversy, the 28-year-old is a better left-back than Davies and is certainly beer789 head and shoulders above Walker-Peters, who has made only three Premier League appearances.

The Welshman is by no means a bad defender, but cast your minds back to April when Spurs supporters slammed his performance versus Manchester United in an FA Cup semi-final.

That is a reminder that the Swansea City man is capable of posting very erratic performances on the big stage, and it doesn't bode well that Walker-Peters could be the only alternative if Davies endures a rough patch, and he will.

Some fans might argue that Pochettino's side have done alright on the opposite side of the pitch since losing Kyle Walker to Manchester City, and they have, but Tottenham hedged their bets by signing a very talented and very experienced Serge Aurier to compete with Kieran Trippier for Walker's spot.

This time, Pochettino might be promoting very much an unproven beer789 player and you wonder if it's a wise gamble when the stakes are so high.
